Biking is one of the most common way of getting from A to B here in Copenhagen. We love to bike and the municipality do a lot to support good, efficient and safe bike lanes. 55 % of the Copenhageners bike to/from work and education – and 33% of these bike more than 4 kilometres (May 2009).

One of the initiatives that makes it even more attractive to bike are the greenways. 22 new greenways with a total length of 110 kilometres has been planned hereby are the first 40 kilometres already realised. Find maps and more information here (Danish only).
